Translate Bio is looking for a highly-motivated, experienced business analyst professional to lead key corporate development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading all competitive intelligence activities involving Translate Bio programs, competitors and potential partners. The individual will also lead commercial assessments for programs and new partnering opportunities. In coordination with other colleagues the individual will help support deals through financial modeling of potential structures and overall corporate strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare all competitive intelligence and commercial assessment activities in support of business development initiatives and objectives
  • Recommend and maintain all databases and intelligence resources and subscriptions
  • Prepare reports identifying and analyzing new strategic opportunities for platform
  • Prepare and maintain presentations (including corporate strategy, partnering, commercial assessments, board materials, etc.)
  • Organize internal and partner meetings
  • Ensure appropriate communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding plans, milestones, status, deadlines, data requirements, logistics and other project-related issues
  • Lead the internal meetings to align the team around goals, resources, identify potential blocking issues, and prepare for joint meetings with the partner
  • Track progress of key milestones and ensure execution of key deliverables
  • Define, standardize, and generate regular reports for key external and internal stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • MBA or advanced degree in life sciences
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of related experience in the Biotech-Pharma industry
  • Good understanding of research and preclinical drug-development
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, ability to communicate effectively and influence others, and manage change and differing opinions with diplomacy and competence
  • Must be self-motivated, results-focused, and team-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong ability to build and communicate business strategy
  • Experience with budgeting (tracking and forecasting)
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
