We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) to lead our TA efforts at Translate Bio.  Reporting to the CHRO, you will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting activities including the creative development and execution of sourcing strategies and recruiting plans for our positions in Lexington, MA. We’re experiencing strong growth across all functions and this is a key role to shape the future of the company. You will be instrumental in helping to enhance our exciting culture to work in! In this role, you will work closely with a growing team of professional managers and leaders to understand the skills we need to add to our existing talented and innovative team.  This leader will ensure that Translate Bio attracts and hires the best talent through social media, recruiters, networks, marketing campaigns and targeted sourcing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive TA strategy and implement the delivery of world class talent identification
  • Act as an Ambassador to represent Translate Bio’s culture
  • Proactively build an on-going, robust pipeline of talent for current and future needs
  • Implement and continually improve TA tools, methodologies, policies and procedures appropriate to the recruiting objectives of the business (ATS, interview training)
  • Identify reports to communicate recruiting status statistics including cost, time and quality
  • Establish TA requirements by understanding Translate’s business goals and culture
  • Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders, and act as a consultant as needed, to identify ideal candidate profiles
  • Establish credibility and influence within the organization in hiring top tier talent
  • Develop a thorough recruitment and selection process that yields quality candidates, speed of process, and a great candidate experience
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing, reporting and metrics tracking, and closing candidates).  This is a hands-on role.
  • Develop coherent, high impact Talent Acquisition “brand” that grows Translate Bio’s status to Employer of Choice
  • Oversee strategy for social media outlets for TA and continually improve current social profile while partnering with Corporate Communications
  • Effectively communicate the mission, culture/values, and opportunity for growth at Translate Bio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience with 5 years in biotech, biopharma or pharma industry
  • Technical recruiting and sourcing experience required
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Proven successful experience achieving Talent Acquisition goals
  • Experience using and implementing ATS systems and recruiting analytics knowledge
  • Strong experience in a high growth, fast paced setting
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building high visibility relationships
  • Demonstrated experience as a collaborator/team player
  • A mindset of a disciplined, continuous “talent miner”
  • Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and find innovative solution
