Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated IT professional with strong technical and communication skills to join our team as Senior Associate, IT Engineering. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director of IT and will be part of our growing IT team. The person in this role will be responsible for providing timely IT hardware, software, and basic network support to our end-users in the office and lab environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous on-premise and remote support for computer hardware, software, and network-related requests and issues.
  • Complete all IT related tasks for user onboarding and offboarding in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Build, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Work with scientists and vendors to ensure the successful planning, installation, configuration, and qualification of lab workstations and related software.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot multi-function devices and printers.
  • Complete moves, adds, and changes (MACs) for VoIP phone system. Provide Tier 1 support and escalate issues to vendor when necessary.
  • Provide AV support for conference rooms.
  • Create and maintain support tickets for issues and requests. Document troubleshooting steps and resolution.
  • Create and maintain GxP level documentation for IT procedures.
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers and create/submit purchase orders for approval.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate record-keeping and inventory for IT material and documentation.
  • Provide after-hours support when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • A+, Network +, or other IT industry standard certifications desirable
  • 3+ years of experience providing IT support in a life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment
  • Solid experience building, configuring, deploying, and supporting Windows desktops and laptops in a Windows Domain environment
  • Experience with Active Directory account creation, password resets, distribution groups, group policies, security groups and other AD functions
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, Exchange Online, and Outlook client
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols involving Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
  • Experience with the following products and technologies: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Active Directory, Windows Server (2016 & 2019), Microsoft 365, Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, Mimecast, CrowdStrike Falcon, ManageEngine Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus.
  • Experience setting up VPN, RDP and other remote technologies for desktops
  • Familiarity with lab applications and instruments
  • Experience with MacOS, VMWare, and Linux a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work across multiple departments in a team environment with people at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
